Reiki has been around since the early 20th century. It is an energy healing method rooted in ancient Japanese culture. Reiki uses the universal life force energy which is channeled through the practitioner directly into different areas of the body that have imbalances and energy bocks. The practitioner will channel the healing energy to clear out these energy blocks and balance your energy which will lead to improving your overall health.

Thai Yoga Massage (sometimes called Thai Massage or Thai Therapy) is a full body massage that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, and balances the body energetically. This therapeutic style of massage combines soft tissue manipulation techniques, assisted yoga postures, breathing and meditation to bring the body into a state of deep relaxation. Thai massage enhances strength and flexibility, relaxes sore muscles, and can help recapture lost range of motion.
Private yoga sessions offer students the chance to focus on personal interests and goals, or address specific concerns, like a mobility issue or difficulty with a pose. Instead of needing to follow a teacher in a class that may not align with their mobility, goals or interests, individuals can instead set specific goals and plans with their instructor. Private yoga mostly benefits individuals who want to engage in regular yoga practice, but who do not have the confidence or time to attend group sessions. Private yoga will usually take place in the privacy of their homes, or at Half Moon Yoga at a time that’s convenient for the individual.

The method of receiving Reiki is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch, massage table, or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas. Sessions can take 45 minutes to an hour-and-a-half, depending on the client’s needs.
Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not predict any specific outcome from treatment. If people are concerned about their symptoms, they should see a doctor.
Each person experiences Reiki differently depending on their individual needs at the time. Clients may or may not feel sensations during a reiki treatment. Benefits reported by recipients include deep relaxation promoting a calm, peaceful sense of well-being on all levels. Some people feel sensations of heat, tingling, or experience seeing colors, while others can have an emotional response, indicating that shifts are taking place, allowing harmony to be restored.
Yes, a well-trained Reiki practitioner should be certified and have received their training in person with a Reiki master teacher who’s certified or licensed by a reputable Reiki training organization.

Unlike typical Western massages that primarily use oils and involve kneading and rubbing muscles, Thai Yoga Massage is performed fully clothed on a floor mat. The therapist uses hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet to apply pressure, as well as gently stretching and manipulating the client's body.

Bring or wear comfortable clothing for the massage, this can be anything that is stretchy and breathes. Examples of clothing: t-shirt or tank top and workout pants or shorts. Sometimes in a longer session as the nervous system settles, the body temperature may drop and having a light long sleeved shirt to put on may also be helpful.
